Как работать с диалогом?
- Прослушайте диалог на английском и прочитайте PDF транскрипт. При необходимости, включите субтитры.
- Прослушайте диалог еще раз, повторяя его вслух (!!!).
- Придумайте собственные реплики. Используйте лексику из PDF, если нужно.
- Слушайте диалог и произносите собственные предложения вслух (!!!), соблюдая верную интонацию, произношение и ритм.
- Время от времени возвращайтесь к видео и повторяйте упражнение.

Сегодня мы поговорим о знакомствах/свиданиях (dating, dates) на английском языке.
(1) What images spring to mind when you hear the word ‘dating’? — Какие образы приходят в голову, когда вы слышите слово «свидание»?
I think about relationships between people. Dating is an important part of it.
(2) What are the good things and bad things about dating? — Что хорошего и плохого в свиданиях?
Dating helps people to know more about each other. So you can understand if a person fits you or not. I think there is nothing bad about dating. It’s always good.
(3) What can you remember about your first date? — Что вы можете вспомнить о своем первом свидании?
I can’t remember if the date was good or not. It was a long time ago.
(4) How do you feel before you go on a first date with someone? — Что вы чувствуете перед тем, как пойти на первое свидание с кем-то?
A first date is always exciting. You never know what is going to happen, because you don’t know your partner well enough. But it’s a normal thing. A first date is always about getting to know each other.
(5) What is your idea of a great first date? — Что для вас хорошее первое свидание?
I am not a romantic person. So for me it’s important just to feel comfortable with a woman. That’s it.
(6) What is the most disastrous date you’ve been on? — Какое свидание было для вас самым катастрофическим?
I think I’ve never had a date like this. All the dates I had were good.
(7) If you could go on a date with anyone in the world, who would it be and why? — Если бы вы могли пойти на свидание с кем-нибудь в мире, с кем бы это было и почему?
I don’t know. I am married. I think I am not allowed to go out with anybody 😀
(8) Would you ever use a dating service (online or otherwise)? — Вы когда-нибудь использовали бы онлайн знакомства?
I think I wouldn’t. It is not bad, but I would prefer to find someone in real life.
(9) Would you ever go on a blind date? — Вы бы когда-нибудь пошли на свидание вслепую?
I don’t think so. It’s weird.
(10) Who pays on a first date? — Кто платит на первом свидании.

(1) Do you think dating today is any different from dating 50 years ago? — Как вы думаете, свидания сегодня чем-то отличаются от свиданий 50 лет назад?
I don’t think so. The only difference is that now everyone has a mobile phone. So it’s easier to contact each other.
(2) From what age is it OK to start dating? — С какого возраста можно начинать встречаться?
16-17 years old teenagers are old enough to start dating I think.
(3) Isn’t it better to go for an arranged marriage and do away with the hassles of dating? — Разве не лучше пойти на брак по расчету и избавиться от хлопот свиданий?
Everyone decides it for himself, but I’d never do so.
(4) Is it OK for older men / women to date very young partners? — Можно ли старшим мужчинам / женщинам встречаться с очень молодыми партнерами?
If people really like each other, why not?
(5) What do you think parents worry about when their kids start dating? — Как вы думаете, о чем беспокоятся родители, когда их дети начинают встречаться?
I think that they worry about unexpected kids. So parents should talk to their children and explain some important things about it.
(6) Is it a better idea to date someone from your own race, religion, social status, etc.? — Лучше ли встречаться с кем-нибудь из вашей расы, религии, социального положения и т. д.?
It’s a good question. I don’t think that things like that are important nowadays. The most important thing is to love and respect each other.
(7) What are the best ways of making sure a first date leads to a second date? — Как лучше всего сделать так, чтобы первое свидание привело ко второму?
Just try to be yourself and don’t worry too much about it. Nature will do everything for you.
(8) What should you never do on a first date? — Чего никогда не следует делать на первом свидании?
Unappropriate behavior is the worst thing. It’s important to be polite and attentive to your partner.
(9) Is dating someone after two years still as exciting as the first date? — Встречаться с кем-то после двух лет так же интересно, как первое свидание?
Of course it’s not. The first date is the most exciting. But if you are still together after two years, it’s a good sign. It’s not so easy to find the right person.
(10) Is dating a waste of time? — Свидания — пустая трата времени?
No, dating is an important part of relationships. People should never forget about it.
