- Прослушайте диалог на английском и прочитайте PDF транскрипт. При необходимости, включите субтитры.
- Прослушайте диалог еще раз, повторяя его вслух (!!!).
- Придумайте собственные реплики. Используйте лексику из PDF, если нужно.
- Слушайте диалог и произносите собственные предложения вслух (!!!), соблюдая верную интонацию, произношение и ритм.
- Время от времени возвращайтесь к видео и повторяйте упражнение.
О будущем на английском языке
(1) How often do you think about the future? — Как часто ты думаешь о будущем?
Pretty often, especially now when the whole world is going crazy. You never know what can happen tomorrow. Everything is possible.
(2) What do you hope for in your own future? — На что вы надеетесь в собственном будущем?
I hope everything will be ok. We will live in peace, without any big social crises and wars. I believe in the best.
(3) What comes to mind when you think about your future? — Что приходит на ум, когда думаешь о своем будущем?
A lot of different things come to mind. Some of them are very personal. I am always trying to think positive. Even about the future.
(4) What fears do you have for the future? — Какие у вас опасения относительно будущего?
The biggest fear for me is that our future is not clear. A lot of good things can happen, but at the same time a lot of bad ones can happen as well.
(5) Where do you see yourself in ten, twenty and fifty years from now? — Где вы видите себя через десять, двадцать и пятьдесят лет?
I don’t like to think too much about it. It’s a very long period of time. I like to live for the day and not to think so far ahead.
(6) What futuristic things from science fiction movies do you want to happen in real life? — Какие футуристические вещи из фантастических фильмов вы хотите увидеть в реальной жизни?
I like technology. Especially in transport. So I would like to see some flying cars without wheels or some flying trains passing by above my head.
(7) Some people say “The best is yet to come”. Do you agree? — Некоторые говорят: «Лучшее еще впереди». Ты согласен?
Yes I do. The best is yet to come! That’s for sure.
(8) What will be the world’s biggest problem in the future? — Какая самая большая проблема в мире будет в будущем?
There are a lot of big problems I think. Countries will compete more and more for natural resources. The Corona crisis is still pretty strong. Climate change, social problems inside the countries, economic crises and so on.
(9) Do you believe politicians who promise a great future? Why (not)? — Вы верите политикам, обещающим прекрасное будущее? Почему?
No I don’t. Today’s politicians are weak. They are not capable of solving serious problems.
(10) What does the past teach us about the future? — Чему нас учит прошлое, что может пригодиться в будущем?
People made a lot of mistakes in the past. So we should do everything to avoid them in the future. That’s why it’s very important to know our history.

I would like to save our nature. I try to separate garbage and use less .
(2) Does the expression “the good old days” mean that the future will probably be worse? — Означает ли выражение «старые добрые времена», что будущее, вероятно, будет хуже?
No, of course it doesn’t. I believe that our future is in our hands. It depends on us and we can make it better.
(3) Are you optimistic or pessimistic about the future? Why? — Вы с оптимизмом или пессимизмом смотрите в будущее? Почему?
I’m optimistic. I believe in the best.
(4) What do you think about the future of your country? — Что ты думаешь о будущем своей страны?
Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t like thinking about it too much. I hope everything is going to be ok.
(5) What are your plans for the immediate, near and far future? -Каковы ваши планы на ближайшее, ближайшее и далекое будущее?
I am going to finish our dialogue, to enjoy the summer and to live in a country house in the future 😁😁
(6) What would you plan for your children’s future? — Что бы вы запланировали на будущее своих детей?
A lot of opportunities and liberty of choice.
(7) When you were younger, what did you think about your future? — Когда вы были моложе, что вы думали о своем будущем?
I was thinking about travelling a lot. It was my dream.
(8) What technology will we be using in the future? — Какие технологии мы будем использовать в будущем?
I think the Internet will be everywhere and it will be free of charge for everyone. 5G networks are getting closer and closer.
(9) What are some major changes the world will see in the future? — Какие важные изменения мир увидит в будущем?
I can hardly imagine this. Everything is possible in our crazy world.
(10) Would you like to live 100 years in the future or the past? Why? — Хотели бы вы жить на 100 лет в будущем или прошлом? Почему?
I don’t want to live in the past. I can’t imagine my life without the Internet, social networks and so on. As for the future, 100 hundreds years is too far. So I’d prefer to live now.
